Amnesty International Nepal, Group-43, Banepa was founded in 1991 by Raju Sarkar, a prominent social entrepreneur and activist for human rights.

In the past 22 years, Amnesty International's commitment to campaign for human rights has made an impact worldwide, with over 3 million members worldwide spanning over 150 countries and territories. Group-43 has made a personal initiative to not only save displaced prisoners but to educate the youth in the Banepa region of Nepal to expand the cause for human rights.
