I'm the Director at Kanda Auto Pvt. Ltd. and primarily in charge of the production and product development. At this heavy press metal workshop, the sound of hammering metal may be noise to some but it definitely is music to my ears, although this has got nothing to do with my love for rock music.
I’m a young entrepreneur aspiring to grow and diversify my family business, particularly into clean energy start-ups, thereby realising my planeteer dream.
Variety is the spice of life and the essence of my growing years. The diversity in my interests has been shaped at home by a chisel and hammer, nurtured by the tender touch of a primary school teacher, instructed by the strict HR head, looked after by the stethoscope and finally been edited to make a High Definition movie of my colourful life.
This has translated into my social life & work where almost each of my friends is from a different linguistic background and my business associates range from the experts of low cost manufacturers of the east to the geniuses from Europe who make the tools for this high speed production. Absorbing negotiations with the welding experts from South Korea to culinary debates with Italian friends, I enjoy it all.
I love all sorts of music. From the soulful orchestra of Hans Zimmer to peaceful 100 strings of the Indian classical santoor to heavy six string solos of Kirk Hammett and Slash, all find space in my iPod and an ideal Thursday ends with a live performance at the Hard Rock.
I genuinely love helping people and my route to social service is through helping underprivileged youngsters get jobs and also provide free educational counselling. I do this as part of The corporate Youth group, a group of like minded young professionals from different backgrounds. I’ve done a whole host of things so far in life including a short stint in a refrigeration equipment company, volunteering in road safety drives. I’ve worked as head of the student’s council in diploma school, captained my school cricket team, played state level tennis, pioneered my college SAE club and successfully made an ATV and a formula race car for national level events.
I've grown up in a business environment and the phrase 'Second Generation Industrialist' is firmly carved at the back of my mind. Well, thats what i aspire to be, and a thumping good one at that.
