In the last week of July, 2012, Amy was hired as a contract worker by TEKsystems, filling a Software Support Specialist role at Carnegie Learning, Inc. for just over six months. She drew on both her Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science (Franciscan University of Steubenville, May 2012) and her years of student work experience in Academic Computing and the Office of Information Technology.
As a result of her accomplishments in that role, Amy was hired on full-time by Carnegie Learning at the beginning of February, 2013. She was excited to provide technical solutions to customers and fellow employees. Due to her programming-oriented background, she was given the opportunity to be a key team member on cross-departmental projects involving data aggregation, iOS application development, webside development, content management systems, and more. Unfortunately, family circumstances prompted Amy to leave Carnegie Learning and move to Michigan.
As of August, 2014, Amy was hired by Apple as an At-Home Advisor. She is excited to start this new opportunity helping the great Apple community of customers!
Amy's goals for the future are more technically-oriented. While she appreciates the challenges provided by a customer-facing role, her true passion is programming. She would like to eventually transition into a QA or Software Development position - somewhere that allows a more hands-on approach to problem solving.
Amy is accepts contact and networking requests - but only from real human beings. She finds Artificial Intelligence to be a fascinating subject; any robots to contact will be used for research.
