Amy Sutton

Hi! Welcome to my page. Glad you came! Well, I am currently starting my sixth year as an elementary teacher. I graduated from IU East in December 2006 with my B.S. in elementary education. I taught in the public school system for my first five years (fifth grade and third grade, respectively), and I am so excited to have the opportunity to teach grades 1-3 at a Christian school!

Outside of teaching, I absolutely love spending time with my husband of two years and our small "family". We are the proud parents of Charles the Jack Russell and Polaris the Maine Coon. I come from a somewhat large family. My parents did a wonderful job of teaching us to love the Lord, regardless of what the world says. I am the third of four children (one brother, two sisters). My younger sister and my Mama are two of my best friends and we make sure to spend a lot of time together.

I have been involved with the Church of the Nazarene for the past 12 years, and I am currently involved in many activities. I am a member of the board and participate in the music ministry during VBS each summer. I also sing on the church Praise Team during Sunday morning worship a few times each month.

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." ~ 1 Corinthians 13:4 - 7
