I connect users with information and technology needs. I follow user experience principles to guide web design and develop innovative library services. I lead teams to accomplish strategic goals. I believe in digital equality. I am an Associate Professor and Head of Web & Emerging Technology at Albertsons Library Boise State University, a professor of the Make It Vertically Integrated Project, a mentor to University Innovation Fellows, a Founder of the Boise Maker Alliance, a regional leader in the Make Schools Alliance, and President of the Idaho Library Association. I have published articles and book chapters about best practices, user experience, and student perspectives of web and emerging technologies. I have presented nationally on best practices for diversity and inclusion in makerspaces. I am available for consulting for makerspace design in higher education, school, and public libraries.
