Analexus Samson

Puyallup, Washington

Hello! My name is Analexus Samson, but I go by Ana. I am 5'7 and 120 lbs. I am currently a senior, attending Governor Rogers High School, home of the Rams. Rogers High School has grades 10-12th. Over the last three years, I have taken Pre-Ap and Ap courses to challenge myself and prepare myself for a great future.

I am also a Rambassador. Being a Rambassador means belonging to a school club that you have to apply and interview to get accepted. Anything that my high school puts on that involves the public, Rambassadors are involved with. I usher people to their seats at Graduation, hand out programs at games, welcome people at the door for orchestra and choir events. I am honored to have been chosen to represent my school and conduct some my community service hours this way.

I am also a competitive student athlete. I have three varsity letters in soccer and so far I have lettered in long jump, triple jump, and am working on lettering in high jump! All three years of my high school soccer season, I received the WIAA Distinguished Scholastic Award for maintaining a 3.0 or higher during a sports season.

In 2012, I was awarded Athlete of the Year from the Tacoma Athletic Commission for Rogers High School. I was recognized for outstanding achievement for Citizenship, Scholarship, and Athletic Ability. My sophomore season, I made 2nd Team All League defender for the 4A SPSL (South Puget Sound League) in soccer. I had the good fortune of being chosen to be one of three captains and made First Team All League for the 4A SPSL both my junior and senior years. I was recently awarded the Coach's Award and was recognized for being an outstanding all-around player.

This year I was choosen to be a part of the Governor For Office class at my High School. I was drawn to this because it focuses on leadership and bringing the school together. I was apart of the Homecoming Planning Committee, the assembly director for the Veteran's Day Assembly, I'm on the Canned Food Drive right now and I am part of the Winter Wishes committee. Winter Wishes is a month long event my school hosts where we give back to students in need.

For my future, I am interested in something involving medicine but I am also interested in studying abroad in college! My life revolves around school, sports and family!

I hope you enjoyed getting to know me!

Respectfully,

Ana
