Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States
Anastasia Davis was born in the Midwest, growing up in foster care and group homes. Driven by her intuition, ambition, and perseverance, education was always a priority. Anastasia knew at a young age that there was positive purpose for life. After she graduated high school she moved on to the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire to study Broadcast Journalism with a minor of Environment, Society, and Culture. After four years she realized that music was the calling of her heart, and she transferred to McNally Smith College of Music in Saint Paul, MN. Anastasia graduated with an Associates Degree in Music Business, May 2013. Anastasia has two demos you can listen to for free online, at http://soundcloud.com/anastasiadavis
After graduation, Anastasia left the Midwest to travel through the WWOOF energy exchange program (World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms). She spent a year exploring British Columbia, Canada, and the Big Island of Hawaii. She is activated by benefit work; for example she strives to gain experience connecting small businesses and local organizations with community members, schools, parents, and youth, grant writing/ budget management, fundraising efforts, and analyzing market industries through needs assessments in different communities.
She is also in the process of developing her own business called, "Inspired Creators", a custom curriculum of youth advocacy workshops and mentoring programs that incorporate the elements of sustainability, culture, and the arts. Inspired Creators' mission is to provide a platform for youth to develop personal goals, and express their vision, voice, and active role in their community.
She recently just started her new job as Residency Services Coordinator with Opportunity Neighborhood, for the new low income housing facility- Commons at Penn. I am building after school and evening programs for adults and youth moving into the facility.
