Once upon a time, I was entrenched in communications as most corporations know of the profession: media relations, executive communications, employee communications, and so on. I was happy and having rich experiences.
Then, my eyes were opened to the power of bringing together my communications expertise with the power of online reach. Born out of necessity (in the early days, no one knew what to make of social media so it was handed to me as a public relations professional), it's now driven by passion.
I expanded my knowledge through learning SEM best practices (and becoming Adwords Certified) and taking on SEO for a 360-degree look at push/pull marketing and online reputation opportunities. When melded together, it becomes a cohesive and complementary digital strategy to drive results.
