I have been a manuscript editor for 10+ years. My positions have included manuscript editing for the Marine Corps University Press in Quantico, Virginia; manuscript editing and project and production management for the Naval History and Heritage Command in Washington, DC; and copy editing for CNA in Alexandria, Virginia.

I am currently working to bolster my freelance practice--Forma Verborum Editing Services, LLC. My current project is developmentally and substantively editing a complex novel about the life of a Vietnam vet suffering from PTSD. The story ranges from the mid-19th century California Gold Rush and the height of the AIDS crisis during the 1980s to the present time.

As a long-time member of the Historical Novel Society (HNS) and the National Book Critics Circle (NBCC), I have been professionally reviewing historical fiction for over a decade. Along with reviewing books, I have also worked as a reviews and managing editor for the HNS's print and online publications.
