Andrea Sarkic has over seven years of political experience, and spent two years with a boutique lobbying firm in Ottawa as public affairs strategist. Prior to her last role, Andrea served on the staff of four Conservative Members of Parliament – including two Cabinet Ministers. She also has been active in several federal and provincial election campaigns, and responsible for the business development and government/stakeholder relations of a national economic trade-focused NGO.

Working in several portfolios involving complex and controversial issues, Andrea acquired a strong understanding of issues management and government decision-making processes. She brings her pointed skills in public policy analysis, relationship building, strategic communications, and an ability to navigate challenging political environments to the table on behalf of clients. Andrea has a track record of assisting in the development and implementation of successful strategic plans and responses to policy developments, in light of client and government priorities and/or goals. Andrea’s time spent familiarizing herself with the government labyrinth in Ottawa, allows her to identifying policy, legislative or regulatory threats and opportunities with ease, while enhancing stakeholder relations, maintaining key contacts, and easily coordinating and facilitating opportunities between clients and government.

Andrea has represented Canada at numerous international summits and trade missions, providing experience within international trade, foreign diplomacy, and global governments. These experiences include: three Economic Trade Missions to China and Southeast Asia; serving as a Canadian Delegate to the Paris (2011) and Washington D.C (2012) Youth G8/G20 Summits; and, leading the Canadian delegation to the London, UK (2013) Official Y8 Summit.

Internationally minded, Andrea hopes to earn an MBA and work globally -- continuing to experience business culture in a variety of countries and continents.
