Author of the 6-time award winning book Love Is an Orientation (InterVarsity Press) which was named one of the Top Overall Books of 2009 by Leadership Journal, Relevant Magazine, Englewood Review of Books, Outreach Magazine, and Christian Manifesto. It was also recently named by 'Besides the Bible' as 1 of the 100 Best Christian Books of All Time.

Earned a BA in Psychology from the University of Illinois-Chicago, where he attended on a Divsion I athletic baseball scholarship, and a MA in Urban Studies from Eastern University's Tony Campolo Graduate School, with a concentration in Community Transformation.

Is obsessed with Giordanos Pizza, the Chicago Blackhawks and Da Bears... plus a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan - which has taught Andrew more about perseverance through faith than anything else in life.

Married to Brenda, who has more graduate degrees than most people would ever think possible.

Lives in the Boystown neighborhood of Chicago.
