I graduated in 2012 from the University of Leeds with a degree in Arabic and Middle Eastern Studies and have lived and traveled extensively across the region. Following University, I worked on the Newsdesk for an innovative web based company, Newsflare, sourcing current user generated content through a diverse range of social media. I specialised in setting the agenda and pursuing significant developments in regional and global affairs. I established and maintained relationships with citizen journalists internationally and secured video rights for the eventual syndication and distribution to relevant media outlets.
I joined Streamworks in April 2013 as an Assistant Researcher for United Nations content where I collect and collate information from a wide range of UN related sources. I support the Editor-in-Chief in working towards creating a cohesive and standardized platform for showcasing timely and significant international events.
