Ángela is a historian of gender, slavery and the law in Latin America with a focus on Colombia. She received her PhD from The University of Michigan-Ann Arbor in 2017 and is currently the Alfred Hanna Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellow at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. At Rollins She has taught undergraduate courses on history and culture; women and gender; and war and memory in Latin America and the Caribbean.
