Paralegal, Contracts Administration, and Volunteer in California
Former Paralegal and Contracting Officer Representative for the Internal Revenue Service, Office of Chief Counsel, Angelyna Nguyen started her career as a Court Clerk, and has worked in various positions as Probation Clerk, Legal Assistant, and Paralegal for a private law firm. As a Paralegal for the I.R.S., Ms. Nguyen was the only Paralegal in 49 offices to have a remote manager; Ms. Nguyen successfully implemented a Microsoft Sharepoint site to manage work flow, case status and deadlines, documentation, and other case information for remote managers and the Area Counsel to have real time case updates and increased efficiency in the work process. She independently disposes of directly assigned cases of above-average inventory by settlement or dispositive motion. Ms. Nguyen held conferences with taxpayers and/or their representatives for trial preparation, developed facts, discovery, drafted trial memoranda; prepared stipulations of facts, trial exhibits, settlement stipulations and decision documents. A manager endorsed Ms. Nguyen stating, “She is a can do person and one of the most technologically gifted individuals this office has seen with respect to office automation/software and research.” Ms. Nguyen offer significant talents in database administration and implementation, project coordination, contracts administration, finance/accounting, and office management.
Outside the office, Ms. Nguyen volunteers with several non-profit organizations and law enforcement agencies, and is a graduate of Lynnwood P.D. Citizen’s Academy and Police Explorer Academy through Washington Law Enforcement Explorer Advisors. Her extracurricular involvement includes co-ed team sports, water sports, and running with her Aussiedoodle named Maximus.
