Anirban (Baan) Ghosh is a musician based out of Delhi, India. An avid adventure lover at heart and a musician by choice, Baan found the corporate hulla-bulla too far removed from his passion and hence decided to follow his heart, which was in music. He has played with bands like Oritus, Them Clones, Maskitoes, Samarpan, Soul Samvaad, MaP, Avi & the Uprising, Outro, Syncopation, Heavens Down, Warlock, Susmit Sen Chronicles, Grey Area and Shwaas, through which he has gathered the much needed live-playing experience. He has also played with heavy metal band “Prestorika” whose claim to fame was opening for The Rasmus, Megadeth, Machine Head, Wes Borland that earned them a tour of the USA and Canada. In 2012, he performed at the prestigious MTV Coke Studio – Season 2 with his band - "Humble Mystics". He also went on two tours of Africa (organised by ICCR – the Indian Council for Cultural Relations) with fusion band 'Shwaas' in May’12 and 'Soul Samvaad' in Oct'14. Baan has performed live and also features on various recordings with world renowned artists/musicians - Orosz Zoltan (Hungarian Accordian Virtuoso), Dilip Ramachandran (Ex drummer - Parikrama), Murad Ali Khan (Sarangi), Fateh Ali Khan (Sitar), Sushmit Sen (Founder and Guitar Player, ‘Indian Ocean’), Saibal Basu (ex guitar player - ‘Orange Street’), Abhinav Dhar (ex drummer – ‘Whimsy Logic’ and partner, advertising firm ‘Dhar & Hoon’), Gyan Singh (Tabla/Percussion Maestro From Delhi), Suchet Malhotra ( Percussionist / Drummer – “HFT”), Harpreet Singh (Indie Singer/Songwriter), Rabbi Shergill (Punjabi Sufi / folk vocalist), Dhruv Sangari (Sufi Vocalist), Jazz Trio (Featuring Abhay Sharma on Saxophone and Nikhil Vasudevan on Drums), Gianni denito (Saxophone - Italy), Derek Beckvold (Boston based saxophone player), Bernie Marsden (ex Guitarist – Whitesnake), Gianni Denito (saxophone).
