Short Story:

Twenty-something. Music lover. Social media enthusiast. Atlanta girl born and raised. Currently living in Virginia.

Not so short story:

During my time at Valdosta State University I was heavily involved with student housing. I participated in the Residence Hall Association. I also worked as a Resident Assistant and assisted in opening a new residence hall. I am very proud to have been selected to join the community of the top 1% of the student leaders on campus, through the National Residence Hall Honary (NRHH). Additionally, during my time at Valdosta State I was a proud member of Sigma Alpha Iota.

When I moved to Virginia I accepted a position with Pembroke Commercial Realty as a Leasing Specialist. In this position I was able to learn about a different side of the housing profession. I worked for two years marketing, leasing, and performing other administrative duties. Then in 2013 I was promoted to the position of Assistant Property Manager. I also served as the Technical Director, as needed. In February 2014 I earned the certification of Accredited Residential Manager® through the Institute of Real Estate Management.

Through my position with PCR I discovered a passion for social media management and marketing. I have had the incredible opportunity to work with an alternative rock band to learn more about PR and social media for a brand and put what I have learned to use. I am currently taking classes at Arizona State University to complete a degree in Mass Media Communications. I am currently seeking an internship or an entry level position working with social media, marketing, or public relations.
