April Sedeen’s is a modern surrealist/ Art deco painter, currently living and working in Virginia. April’s interest in the arts started at a very young age. By twelve, she had apprenticeships at The Art League School in Alexandria, Virginia. And the Corcoran School of Art and Design in Washington, DC. In 2002 she finished her art studies at The Yellow Barn studio in Glen Echo, MD Sedeen’s work reflects her unique view of the world she inhabits. Her striking large-scale acrylic and oil paintings create an intimate and intense relationship with the viewer that is complex and meaningful. April Sedeen has had six solo exhibitions, and participated in many group artist shows. April Sedeen’s artistic influences include Tamara de Lempicka, Frida Kahlo, Salvador Dali, Pablo Picasso and Andy Warhol.
