Amanda Ramsaran

Filmmaker, Project Manager, and Social Media Manager in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

I am in search of a full-time, permanent position in production, digital/social media, or media consulting and development where I can contribute all of my creative and business skills.

I have over seven years' experience working in the film and television industry between the United States and Canada. Primarily, my work has been behind the scenes in extras casting, on-location support, budgeting, scheduling, consulting, and most of all, as a Production Assistant between the Locations Department and Assistant Director [A.D.] Department on a wide range of scripted/narrative projects. I also have advanced experience in the A.D. Department and Camera Department on several independent projects: music videos, documentary-style videos, short narrative films, and commercials.

I graduated from Drexel University with a dual-degree Master of Science/MBA in Television Management. My thesis, "'Look at the Bigger Picture' - An Analysis of Netflix's Business Model and Strategy from CEO Reed Hastings' Long-Term View" was completed with my Summer 2014 graduation. I can provide a PDF copy upon request. In Spring 2011, I graduated from Temple University with my Bachelor of Arts in Film & Media Arts with a minor in Business. I have also completed the Improvisation Program out of the Second City Training Centre in Toronto, Canada, including the Summer Diversity Intensive out of Chicago, Illinois.

Available immediately. Willing to travel and/or relocate. Passport-ready (U.S./Canada dual citizen).
