Arian Nicole Muhammad (Born June 26th 1983) is a mutli-faceted artist and songwriter. Born in Peoria, Illinois Arian fell in love with hiphop at an early age and began writing and recording lyrics on cassette tapes. In 2011 she released popular hip hop single "Sarafina's Song", a social-political montage to strong women in history that quickly garnered attention. Her experiences growing up in the housing projects of Peoria, Illinois and Flint Michigan led her to establish a program called CHANGE (Children Have A Natural Gravitation to Eminence) a hip-hop, self esteem project for youth which partnered with local production company to launch a poetry series that aired on local cable television. Arian Nicole was inspired by artists like Stevie Wonder, Earth Wind and Fire, and Lauryn Hill had her passion for music and hip hop culture rewarded sharing stages with KRS ONE, Rakim, Kindred The Family Soul and many others.
