Arian Nicole Muhammad is a mutli-faceted performing artist, producer and MC known both locally and nationally for soul stirring conscious raising music virtually absent in the modern cultural scene for women. Born in Peoria, Illinois Arian fell in love with hiphop at an early age and began writing and recording lyrics on cassette tapes. She released popular hip hop single "Sarafina's Song", a social-political montage to strong women in history reaching nearly a quarter of a million people. Her experiences growing up in the housing projects of Peoria, Illinois and Flint Michigan led her to establish a program called CHANGE (Children Have A Natural Gravitation to Eminence) a hip-hop, self esteem project for youth which partnered with local production company to launch a poetry series that aired on local cable television. Arian Nicole is a 2018 Herizon Fest award nominee in the category or music and has shared stages Raheem Devaughn, hip hop culture icon KRS ONE, Rakim, Kindred The Family Soul, Jessica Care Moore and her musical work is inspired by Stevie Wonder, Nas, Lauryn Hill, Patrice Rushen, Keiko Matsui, and other cultural greats who place a message in their music.
