Research Assistant, Student, and data scientist in London, Ontario, Canada
Senior Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science
I was born and raised in Tabriz, Iran. I left my beloved Tabriz at the age of 14, to go live in Karaj, a city close to the Iranian capital, Tehran (approx. 45 km) .
I finished my primary studies in Karaj, and then my undergrad in CompSci in Amirkabir University of Tech. (aka Tehran Polytechnic). Later, I continued my studies with a MSc in CompSci at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences, IASBS (Zanjan, Iran).
In August 2011, I moved to Canada to pursue my graduate studies at Western University, located in London (aka The Forest City), somewhere on the road from Toronto to Detroit.
Even though my main research is in Visual Analytics (VA), I have experience in Data Mining, Machine Learning, Social Network Analysis, and Multi Agent Systems. In general, I am interested in the research topics that have a taste of Artificial Intelligence and Human Cognition.
I have tried a lot of things in different fields, including programming, directing a play, playing an instrument, mountain camping, brainstorming session management, etc. My main characteristics are leadership and proactiveness. Also I am always up for new challenges and ideas.
