He graduated from York University's music program in 2011 and has studied under great local artists such as Mark Eisenman, Alan Henderson, Andrew Scott, Mike Cadó, Casey Sokol and Brian Katz.

His influences include Lenny Breau, John Coltrane, Wes Montgomery, Ed Bickert, Ralph Towner, Pat Martino, Pat Metheny, Ben Monder, Kurt Rosenwinkel; to name a few.

His current plans are to generate public recognition and expand the number of his appearances in Toronto.

Since 2014, he has also been working as a instrumental music teacher for the Toronto Catholic District School Board.

"Simon has played his music numerous times at our family functions. The last time he played was at my 50th Birthday party in Aug and it was simply breathtaking. The sound of his soft guitar playing blended in beautifully with the environment at the party. Simon is not only talented at playing the guitar, but he knows exactly what type of music to play depending on the occasion. That alone is a talent on it's own. Anyone who appreciates music should get a chance to listen Simon play. You won't be disappointed. I guarantee it!"
