Achim Runnebaum

Achim Runnebaum

Born in Germany, raised in the States, and currently living in Japan, I'm an ecclectic mix of all three places. My fascination with different places started even as a young child, and eventually grew into a full-grown passion for wanting to show the world around us and how precious this world is. Taking pictures of beautiful places, people, or interesting situations is my passion.
I'm experienced with different cultures, having lived in three of them, and thus am very open-minded. I can live and work just about anywhere I feel comfortable.
I'm a spiritually social person, enjoying both the quiet times reflecting, as well as the social moments meeting new and interesting people.
Ghandi once said: "Man often becomes what he believes himself to be. If I keep on saying to myself that I cannot do a certain thing, it is possible that I may end by really becoming incapable of doing it. On the contrary, if I have the belief that I can do it, I shall surely acquire the capacity to do it even if I may not have it at the beginning."

I am always inspired by this quote and love to learn new things, try new things and see what this world has to offer.

Professionally, I have been part of several major events, such as the World Cosplay Summit in Nagoya. I've also done photoshoots ranging from Fashion, Commercial, Travel, and Event Photography. In addtion, I have taught various workshops ranging from basic photography to professional retouching techniques in and around the Nagoya area.

Professionally, I have a certification in Web Design Fundamentals, and Adobe Certified in using Lightroom.
