Ashley Rawlings

Ashley Rawlings is the director of Blum & Poe, Tokyo.

He is a specialist in postwar Japanese art, with particular focus on Mono-ha, a group of Tokyo-based artists who radically redefined the Japanese avant-garde during the late 1960s and 1970s.

Previously, he was the managing editor of ArtAsiaPacific in New York. He has written for numerous publications, including The Guardian, The Japan Times, Art & Australia, White Zinfandel, Satellite, and Artforum.com.

He is also the co-author of Art Space Tokyo (Pre/Post Books, 2008) a guide to Tokyo's most architecturally and historically distinctive galleries and museums.
