Since 2017, Aurélien Renard is Director of Business Development with MLex, the leading independent media organization providing market insight, analysis and commentary on global regulatory risk. His role is to expand the business footprint of MLex in continental Europe across regulators, law firms and corporates by leveraging an entire suite of contents and services and helping support their risk and opportunity assessment and mitigation strategy through insights.

From 2015 to 2017, he was Key Client Consultant with Euromonitor, a global market research company, where he was a strategic advisor to his clients creating business opportunities for consulting projects with Global Fortune 500 organisations in the FMCG, beauty, energy, chemicals, retail, food & drinks industries.

Aurélien has also been freelancing since 2014 for clients providing evidence-based consulting and advisory services to help them be more effective.

From 2006 to 2014, he was Director of Marketing & Business Development for Gallup in Europe, where he covered business strategy and development, marketing and communications, and the management of international projects and strategic partnerships with leading public and private sector organisations.

Before that Aurélien also worked in the CMI department of Philips in Amsterdam, at the French Embassy’s Office for Economics & Commercial Affairs and as a consultant for a Public Affairs consultancy, both in Brussels.

He studied in France, the US and UK and holds a Masters degree in Management from Audencia Business School and postgraduate degree in Contemporary European Studies from Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences-Po) and the University of Bath.
Aurélien has an experience of 12+ years working for international consulting firms in international sales, business development and marketing, 10+ in global market and social research, and 9+ in EU public affairs. He speaks French and English fluently, and has notions of German and Italian.

Besides my work I am also passionate about sports, cinema, photography, video games, music, travels, fooding and cooking, disruptive ideas, dystopian literature, social innovation and politics (not necessarily in that order!).
