Welcome! Sequoia is the If/When/How: Reproductive Justice and HIV Fellow at SisterLove, Inc. She received her law degree and master’s degree in International Relations from the American University Washington College of Law and School of International Service, respectively. As the Law and Policy Analyst at SisterLove, Sequoia works collaboratively with community members, elected officials, and policymakers in advancement of the health, well-being, and human rights of Black women living with HIV/AIDS, those at risk for contracting HIV/AIDS, and for all individuals who belong to marginalized communities that are severely and disproportionately impacted by HIV/AIDSs, especially in the Deep South and Global South. At the root of her work is a deep respect, and commitment to upholding the human rights of all people. Additionally, Sequoia provides free and low-cost legal assistance to folks in Georgia. A proud alumna of the University of Georgia, she lives in Georgia with her family and dog, Nina.)
