Balkan Devlen

I am currently Associate Professor in Political Science and International Relations in Izmir University of Economics. I got my Ph.D. in Political Science from University of Missouri in 2007. I was a Levin Institute Fellow in 2011 and a Black Sea Young Reformers Fellow in 2012. Recently, I was a Visiting Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science in the University of Copenhagen.

My research interests are at the intersection of IR Theory, International Security, and Foreign Policy Analysis. I am particularly interested in realism, the English School theory, leadership analysis, foreign policy ideologies, foreign policies of major powers, and the future of international order.
