My background is rooted in hands-on engineering, with a strong record of translating complex regulatory and business requirements into scalable, resilient systems.

Prior to joining Sage, I held senior technical leadership roles at EY, Audatex (Solera), and VocaLink (a Mastercard company). At EY, I served as a Senior Manager and Tech Lead within Tax Technology and Transformation, leading the integration of a digital tax platform with third-party computation engines and external regulatory systems. This work reduced manual processing by 40 percent, accelerated client onboarding, and supported enterprise-scale adoption.

Across my career, I have specialised in Java and Spring Boot–based microservices, API-led integration, and cloud-native delivery. I have designed and built mission-critical systems in highly regulated environments, including UK payments infrastructure and large-scale banking services, with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and security. I am experienced in Agile delivery, DevOps automation, CI/CD pipelines, and close collaboration with product, design, and commercial stakeholders.

To deepen my domain expertise, I am currently studying AAT Level 2 Bookkeeping, building formal knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping, VAT, reconciliations, and financial controls. This practical accounting foundation strengthens my ability to design solutions that align technical architecture with real-world financial processes and regulatory requirements.
