Ben MacMillan grew up continually trying to convince his parents that he would never have an office job in which he'd have to wear a suit and tie every day. This idea, on top of his love for competitive sports, and his enthusiasm to work with youth, prompted Ben down the path of coaching and teaching. He began coaching Little League baseball and then junior high and high school football. He applies his passion, energy, and spirit to make every session a unique positive experience for each client regardless of age.
Ben not only enjoys the fitness side to health, he is a big fan of the JERF movement (Just Eat Real Food). He helps spread this food philosophy to his clients and anyone else willing to listen. He is an avid gardener and would like nothing more than to see everyone in the city of Houston have a small family garden. Connecting people back to quality food is a big passion of his. He’s always held an interest in food but his dad’s diabetes diagnosis fueled his fire to new heights.
Ben earned his Bachelor's in Exercise and Sports Science with a Minor in Sports Psychology in 2008 from Texas State University. He employs every aspect of his education in order to best serve his clients, physically as well as psychologically. Ben is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). He also holds a Precision Nutrition Level 1 Coaching certification.
