I am Benjamin Wey, an American financier, investor, and philanthropist, and the founder and CEO of New York Global Group (NYGG), a New York based private investment and advisory firm. Over the course of my career, I have become a recognized voice on the capital markets connecting the United States and China, the world's two largest economies.

My story did not begin on Wall Street. I came to the United States as a young man on a full university scholarship, arriving with just $62 to my name. That beginning shaped everything that followed, a career defined by ambition, resilience, and the belief that opportunity is something you build rather than inherit. I earned an MBA from the University of Central Oklahoma before making my way to New York, where I founded New York Global Group.

Through NYGG, I have spent years advising and investing across cross border transactions, helping growing companies access capital, navigate complex markets, and build lasting bridges between the American and Chinese business communities. My work sits at the intersection of finance, strategy, and international relations, a space where cultural fluency matters as much as financial expertise. It is a perspective few can offer, and it has made me a trusted resource for entrepreneurs and investors operating across borders.

Beyond my work as a financier, I write and comment on markets, entrepreneurship, and the evolving U.S.–China economic relationship. I believe in independent, straight talking perspectives, and I care deeply about encouraging a new generation of founders to think globally and act boldly.

Philanthropy remains central to how I define success. Having arrived with little and built a career from the ground up, I am a committed supporter of education and opportunity, because I know firsthand that access and mentorship can change the trajectory of a life.

Based in New York City, I remain focused on the work that has defined my career: connecting capital with opportunity, championing entrepreneurs, and strengthening the ties between two economies that will shape the future of global business.
