Los Angeles, California u.s.A.
After 25 years in the entertainment industry, I needed a change.
I literally went from producing rock stars to working with craft stars and am now a passionate entrepreneur, with the goal of helping creative small businesses grow. I am whole-heartedly devoted to getting the handmade community the visibility, respect, and success they deserve.
http://thecraftstar.com is my baby ... and it's the first step in what I'd like to achieve by combining my production, business, and crafty creative backgrounds.
"Handmade" isn't all popsicle sticks and glitter ... it's artisan, it's talent, it's unique. (To be honest, there is some glitter, but who doesn't like a bit of sparkle??!!)
As an e:commerce platform focussing on artisan handmade ... we're in prime position to take this game to a whole new level (as Etsy leaves artisan behind for mass production) and we'd love some help!
Do you love challenges? Did you know the crafting business is worth $30 BILLION annually in the US alone? Does the idea of taking on a massive opportunity in the creative e:commerce world sound like fun to you?
If you're nodding your head to any of those questions (particularly if you're an angel!), please contact me!
The CraftStar is self-funded to date, and run by a small team of experts in our field.
We've built the groundwork, we've created an amazing community, we've passed the two year new biz test ... and we're ready to take the next step. Are you in?
