Video Editor and Student in Oak Park, Illinois
I am studyingDigital Communication and Media Artsat DePaul University (M.A.). When I'm not in class—or binge-watching Bloodline on Netflix—I work as an independent video editor forNCSA Athletic Recruitingin which I produce short highlight videos from RAW and logged footage of high school sporting events.
Due to the freedom of this position, I am able to allocate my time as I see fit in order to provide superior client service, while still ensuring my degree progress remains a priority.
Additionally, I am a freelance videographer and editor when time permits. I have shot and edited conferences as well as apartment tours. In the same way Daniel Day-Lewis completely inhabits a role, I can assure you that any project I take on will have my undivided attention.
Recently, I have begun to experiment withstill photographyas a potential future professional endeavor. It is one thing to be able to tell a story or convey a message with video, but I believe there is an even greater power when you can convey a strong message with still images.
I received my B.A. in Communication from Northern Illinois University and expect to graduate with an M.A. in Digital Communication from DePaul University in Autumn 2017.
In my spare time, I enjoy trying new restaurants in Chicago and Oak Park, planning my next vacation (wherever that may be) and hopelessly organizing my iTunes to ensure absolute perfection. In the future, I hope to create a podcast focusing on Film and Television critiques.
