Bob Jakuc

Sea Girt, New Jersey

Hard working, reliable drummer/percussionist with 4 years of formal training living near Belmar, NJ. I've played in every type of cover and original band imaginable: an acoustic fiddle band playing Civil War and 1870s pop music with Kentucky, Irish and Zydeco overtones, a NYC East Village based experimental, psychedelic, progressive band, a folk, pop, country band, a rock n roll string ensemble and a Monkees covers punk band just to name a few. Influences include Stanton Moore, Zigaboo Modeliste, Richie Hayward, Ringo Starr, Steve Gadd, Ricky Fataar, Washboard Chaz and Keith Moon. Looking for a mature group of musicians with eclectic tastes and not afraid of the path less traveled or bringing something of themselves to interpreting other people's music or our own. I play drum kit, cajon, bodhran, washboard, rub board, conga, djembe and various blocks and chimes. LISTENING and DYNAMICS are my strengths but also have my own ideas how something should sound. I have links to share on request of stuff I’ve played on and recorded recently.
