CEO and Humanitarian in Dallas, Texas
I’m a Louisiana native, father of three, cycling enthusiast and vagabond. I love to cook for a crowd and throw great parties. I'm an serial entrepreneur and geek at heart. I cut my teeth on the Apple II, Commodore and Amiga computers prior to AOL and the Web.
I believe the our future is dependent on sustainable cultivation of REAL FOODS. Hydroponics and vertical farming are essential to feeding a planet of 10 BILLION.
In recent years, I've been traveling the world to drive adoption of technologies for a cleaner, more sustainable planet and humanity. I've raised money from Facebook twice and have worked in energy efficiency, transportation/mobility and now in smart agriculture; using advanced sensor tech and AI to maximize yields for indoor growing.
Earlier in my career, I organized many grassroots technology events and hackathons such as Barcamp, iPhoneDevCamp (founding team), Facebook Developer Garages and Code for the Kingdom. I was also the first recipient of Facebook's fbFund in 2008.
