I’m forever fascinated with the extraordinary stories present in the human face. We journey through life gathering bits and pieces that for some unknown reason, resonate within. Memories, feelings, phrases, colors, textures, shapes, songs, and other people. They all leave their mark and lurk in the recesses of our minds. We have little control of the memories that stick or when they will resurface. The face we wear reveals bits and pieces of everything that has come before. There is no single occurance or incident that defines us but an unconsious combination that reinterprets all we’ve gathered. Similarly, my work is created through thoughtful juxtapositions of seemingly random imagery. None of them entirely exposed but interwoven fragments composed to create unique and beautiful beings.
