In January of 2010, Bree founded website services company, BE3Designs (pronounced B-E-3-Designs), and based her freelancing out of Edmonton, Alberta. BE3Designs began small, with only a handful of clients by its first birthday, but after more than five strong years in business, BE3Designs proudly serves a generous number of clients, located here in Edmonton and across the country.
In offering web design, development, search engine optimization, and social media marketing, BE3Designs has become a community sponsor for such local events as WordCamp, the Yeggies (Edmonton New Media Awards), iMedia Conference and Ladies Learning Code. Bree Emmerson is responsible for starting, organizing, and facilitating the Edmonton Chapter of Ladies Learning Code, a national not-for-profit organization that runs local, monthly workshops, offering a social and collaborative way for women (and men) to learn beginner-friendly programming and coding skills. Bree has also been invited to travel on behalf of Ladies Learning Code, to support the launch of chapters in new cities.
Bree has been nominated for Alberta Women Entrepreneur's Celebration of Achievement Award, YWCA'S Women of Distinction Award, and was recognized in the Wanderer's Edmonton Top 100 Women in Business.
