Brian Cruver is a serial entrepreneur, investor, and author who has built multiple successful technology companies focused on solving meaningful problems. Based in Austin, Texas, he currently serves as Co-Founder and CEO of Scorability, a data-driven college athletics recruiting platform, and Executive Chairman of AlertMedia, the global leader in emergency communications software.

Cruver's entrepreneurial journey began following the collapse of Enron in 2001, where he worked for nine months before the energy giant's bankruptcy. Rather than returning to corporate America, he transformed this experience into opportunity by authoring the national bestseller "The Anatomy of Greed: The Unshredded Truth from an Enron Insider," which was later adapted into a CBS television movie. The success of his book provided the capital to launch his first ventures.

In 2009, Cruver co-founded Xenex Disinfection Services, developing UV light robots that eliminate dangerous pathogens in hospital rooms. The company's LightStrike robots are now deployed in over 700 hospitals worldwide and are credited with preventing thousands of hospital-acquired infections annually. The technology proved especially valuable during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Cruver founded AlertMedia in 2013 to address critical gaps in emergency communications. Under his leadership as CEO for nine years, the company grew from startup to global enterprise, serving over 4,000 organizations across 130+ countries. AlertMedia's platform enables businesses to quickly communicate with employees during crises, from natural disasters to active shooter situations. The company achieved multiple recognitions as one of America's fastest-growing software companies and best places to work. In 2022, Cruver successfully transitioned to Executive Chairman following the company's strategic growth investment from Vista Equity Partners.

Through his investment firm MarketDriver Ventures, established in 2002, Cruver has backed dozens of early-stage startups across healthcare, technology, and consumer sectors. Notable investments include Eterneva, which transforms cremated ashes into diamonds.

Cruver holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin's McCombs School of Business and a bachelor's degree in Communications from the University of Southern California. He serves on the advisory board of the Herb Kelleher Entrepreneurship Center at UT Austin, mentoring the next generation of entrepreneurs.

A thought leader in crisis management and business resilience, Cruver has been featured in Forbes, Inc. Magazine, and Authority Magazine, sharing insights on leadership during turbulent times. His companies reflect a consistent philosophy of building "anti-Enron" businesses that prioritize positive social impact alongside financial success.

Cruver divides his time between Austin, New York, and Boca Raton, Florida, where he continues to identify and invest in mission-driven startups that create positive change in the world.
