Candace M. Elliott is a marketing, communications, and event management professional with a passion for promoting initiatives that enrich the lives of disadvantaged populations.

Before joining AARP Foundation as a Marketing Communications Manager, she worked in communications for the National Crime Prevention Council (NCPC), home to icon McGruff the Crime Dog®. At NCPC Candace developed strategies to increase awareness and earned media for national public education campaigns and crime prevention programs. Prior to joining NCPC, Candace worked in events and communications for a Washington, DC nonprofit that focuses on affordable housing and economic development in the District.

As former Director, Mosaic Center & Special Events at the American Advertising Federation (AAF), Candace was responsible for sponsorship, key programming, collateral materials, event execution, and promotion for the Most Promising Multicultural Students Program, Advertising Hall of Fame®, and the ADCOLOR® Awards & Industry Conference. Candace came to the AAF from KaBOOM!, where she was a client services coordinator helping communities build play spaces.
