My parents were migrant farmworkers who taught me that working to our best ability with the intent to always better ourselves is our ultimate goal. Both retired now, it is their example that leads me to seek continuous improvement in all that I do.

My parents taught me to fight for what I believe and never give into lure of convenience over what is right. I marched with the UFW, where I learned that if you don't stand up for your rights as a child of God, no one else will either. If its worth having, it should be worth fighting for.

I gave 28 years to the State of California as a parole agent under of various ranks and titles, serving our delinquent youth and criminal adults. During this time I learned the difference between forgiving and condoning.

I am deeply committed to my faith and firmly believe that Christ never turned his back on anyone and we should follow his example.

I am a mother of two wonderfully intelligent and caring kids who are, through education, finding their place in the world.

My husband is a physician who practices what he preaches and cares for a great number of familys in a wholistic manner.
