Cecilia Castillo

I am currently the Language Access and Advocacy Coordinator at the Executive Office of the Mayor, Office on Latino Affairs. I have worked with immigrants in program development, ethnographic research, community interpretation, and teaching. My ethnographic work has focused on migration experience and social identity for Latino immigrants. I also teach courses at Georgetown University in Linguistics, including Language and Culture and Intercultural Communication, and I have taught English as a Second Language (ESL) for several programs in the DC Metro area. I hold Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Linguistics from Georgetown University.
