Chella Ramanan
Writer, game developer, and narrative designer in Malmö, Sweden
I write games.
I am currently a narrative designer on the writing team for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, at Ubisoft Massive in Sweden.
I am half of 3-Fold Games, a female game development team, from the UK. Our first game was the BAFTA-nominated 'Before I Forget' - a narrative exploration game about a woman with dementia.
I am currently working on a new game called Windrush Tales. This is a personal project that reflects my British Caribbean heritage. It is also the first game to be supported by the collaborative brand 3-Fold Presents.
I'm a former freelance writer and award-nominated games journalist, primarily at www.gameindustry.com and The Guardian.
As co-founder of POC in Play and former board member of Women In Games (WIGJ), I am an active campaigner for diversity in games,
POC in Play aims to increase the representation and visibility of People of Colour in the videogames industry. Get in touch to ask me about helping us create a more diverse, welcoming industry.
In 2019, my work on Before I Forget and POC in Play was recognised and I won the Game Dev Heroes award for Progression Advocate.
