Non Profit Management Consultant in Nigeria
Chinyere Azike is a visionary with over 4 years of experience in partnering and leading Not-For-Profit Organizations. She is the Founder and Executive Director at The Nechamah Foundation; an Organization influencing the society towards the protection and inclusion of children and persons with special needs, especially Down syndrome in Nigeria using education, awareness and advocacy as intervention tools.
Irrespective of her background in Urban and Regional Planning, Chinyere continually takes audacious steps in ensuring and fostering a thriving environment for kids with special needs.
In her words, "every child regardless of their condition should be given equal opportunity to succeed". Her hunger for knowledge and determination pushes her to seek innovative approaches while testing the world's best practices in local communities.
Chinyere trains educators on the need to embrace a more inclusive classroom ensuring that no one is left behind, while raising the consciousness of the younger generation and the society as a whole, towards embracing and fostering a more inclusive society that gives room for the special kids to thrive.
Her work as a special needs advocate, was recently published in the Pipu's Herald Newspaper; a bilingual (80% Yoruba and 20% English) Newspaper, which is strategically distributed to the nooks and crannies of Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria.
In recognition of her unique passion and contribution to humanity, Chinyere was recognised by the African Women in Leadership Organisation (AWLO) as a Next-Generation Female Leader (NGFL) Fellow in 2018. She also received the Deary Empowerment Award by the Ed Harrison Ministry, USA in 2007.
Chinyere is currently an Urban Promise International (UPI) Fellow and currently studying for her Master's degree in Organizational Leadership at the Eastern University, Philadelphia, USA.
