Chris Rosati Yoos

Artist, Photographer, and Instructor in Columbus, Ohio

Columbus-based fine artist Chris Rosati Yoos creates detailed drawings and paintings that celebrate the beauty, vulnerability, and resilience of wildlife. Inspired by a lifelong love of animals and extensive travels—especially throughout Africa—her work combines realism with storytelling to inspire a deeper connection to the natural world and promote wildlife conservation.

An artist since the age of five, Chris began pursuing her passion full time in 2017. Her work has been exhibited at RAW Artists’ IMPACT showcase in Columbus and at the Sean Christopher Gallery, where her Eyes of Africa collection highlighted the majesty and fragility of Africa’s endangered wildlife. She was a finalist in Art & Color 365’s 2023 Fall Magazine Drawing Competition, became an Associate Member of Artists for Conservation (AFC), and was selected for AFC’s 2026 Virtual Exhibition and companion hardbound publication.

Chris is also the illustrator of four children’s books featuring the beloved pups Lilly and Livingston. Working primarily in colored pencil, watercolor, ink, and mixed media, she teaches art to students of all ages while continuing to create wildlife-inspired works that educate, inspire, and advocate for conservation.

Her mission is to use art as a voice for wildlife—connecting people to nature while supporting conservation efforts through her work.
