Joseph Cunningham

Hey, I’m Joseph. I’m an elementary school teacher living in Columbia, South Carolina. I play the saxophone and flute - I hope to participate in our community orchestra in the near future. I incorporate visual and performing arts into my classroom instruction. I sponsored our first talent show and co-sponsored our first multigrade-level dance recital. As I am learning to love the “skin I am in,” I aim to help everyone of every level reach their health and fitness goals, which is why dance fitness is so necessary to me. I hold certifications in BollyX, Zumba, and Pound. I genuinely believe arts education helps develop the “whole person.” Salvador Dali said, “A true artist is not one who is inspired but one who inspires others.” I live to be that light.
