Joseph Cunningham

Hello! I’m Joseph Cunningham, M.A.Ed.—a retired elementary school teacher, musician, and dance fitness instructor based in Columbia, South Carolina.

My work has always centered on creativity, connection, and helping others shine. In the classroom, I loved bringing visual and performing arts into learning and creating memorable opportunities for students to express themselves, including our first talent show and first multigrade dance recital.

Today, I bring that same energy to dance fitness. Movement has become a powerful way for me to build confidence, joy, and community while continuing my own journey toward health and wellness. Certified in BollyX, Zumba, and Pound, I create welcoming, uplifting experiences for people of all fitness levels.

I believe the arts and movement help develop the whole person. Whether I’m teaching, making music, or leading a class, my goal is to inspire others, encourage growth, and bring a little more light into the world.
