Daniel McIntosh II

Hello, my name is Daniel McIntosh of Grand Blanc, Michigan. I am a lead and mathematics teacher at a juvenile facility. I have developed two math courses for an online high school via Canvas.

I recently earned my Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership, with a Specialization in Curriculum and Instruction. My goal is to teach at college level and to help improve educational policies by working with lawmakers.

I coauthored a journal article on an Intelligent Tutoring System (ITS). ITS programs are new technologies that may help to personalize learning paths to meet the needs of students with varying cognitive abilities. The purpose of this descriptive case study was to explore how educators describe the web-based ITS program, CompassLearning, in relation to the varying cognitive needs of students.
