Daniel Farrell, CAMS
Anti-Financial Crime Professional in Auckland, New Zealand
On August 2nd, I will be getting to the top of Auckland's Sky Tower the hard way, walking up 1,103 steps to raise money for Blood Cancer NZ. If you're willing and able, please consider donating using the link above.
Kia ora, I’m Daniel — someone who’s spent my life working with people, whether that’s in community organisations, customer‑facing roles, or helping others navigate complex systems. My background spans law, financial crime prevention, volunteering, radio, and student governance, and I’ve found that variety gives me a grounded understanding of how different people see the world. As my CV puts it, it’s given me “a unique perspective and ability to have a better understanding of the context of a range of stakeholders.”
I’m legally trained, a Certified Anti‑Money Laundering Specialist, and someone who enjoys making complicated things clearer — whether that’s through public speaking, writing, or everyday conversations. I’ve also produced published research and presented at conferences, but the work I’m proudest of is the kind that helps people feel informed, supported, or understood.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me at a game, discovering new music, or planning a weekend escape. I value community, curiosity, and doing things with integrity.
