I believe in hard work and common sense leadership because I know they work. I’ve overcome many obstacles in my life and I’m a better man, husband, father, servant, and leader because of it.

I was born in England, where my Dad, a former USAF airman and telecom pioneer was stationed at RAF Croughton. After a couple years, my parents divorced, and it was time to come back to the States. I spent the next couple years in Warner Robins, where we lived on base. Dad exited the Air Force and began working for I.T.T. which lead us to Dallas, TX., followed by middle Tennessee after he accepted a job with MCI a couple years later. We lived in the suburbs of Nashville until 1993 when his position with MCI was eliminated; he accepted a lateral promotion in Atlanta and we moved to Cartersville, GA. I graduated from Cass High School in 1997, then from Kennesaw State in 2003, where I was active in Pi Kappa Phi (Fraternity), IFC, Student Government, & KSU College Republicans.

In my early 20’s I hit rock bottom. I was near financial ruin. But I never gave up; I worked hard, stayed in school and took every job I could, avoided handouts, and willed my way forward. During that time I met Amanda. She encouraged me, battled beside me, became my best friend and my rock. We married in 2003. A few months later we bought our first house. I remember the pride I felt when we were handed those keys. It was a tiny house but it was ours. We now proudly call the Cedarcrest Community, and Paulding County our home.

We're blessed to have friends in every corner of the county; from Braswell to Burnt Hickory, New Hope, Hiram and Cedarcrest, we feel welcome and at home here. Thats why I’m so involved and invested in our community. I want that for our kids; a strong community grounded in values, and surrounded by fresh air and green spaces. Like so many people in Paulding, we came here because we were tired of congestion, overcrowding, and politics that negatively affected our quality of life, our pocket book, and our kids' education. We came here because it’s a great community with great people, because the home values are great, and because the schools are better.

I want to make sure it stays that way.

I will continue to fight for common sense leadership, reducing the tax burden on homeowners, increasing QOL, supporting jobs growth, economic development, improving infrastructure, and preserving green space here in Paulding County.

Thanks for your support.
