As founder of the Armano Design Group business collective, I help organizations solve complex marketing, communications, and business problems—by design.
I've spent much of my career at several well-respected communications and marketing firms, including Edelman, Digitas, Critical Mass, and Agency.com. My work has spanned the B2C, and B2B industries, delivering world-class solutions and tangible business results. In my near eleven years at Edelman, I helped modernize the digital practice, growing it from 5 percent to 15 percent revenue for the firm while innovating in social media marketing.
As the internet was still being formed, I led the design team partnering with industrial supplies giant Grainger to establish a best-in-class e-commerce user experience responsible for over thirty percent of their business transactions today.
COLLABORATOR + INNOVATOR
I've worked closely with the CEO and partners of the U.S. Dairy industry to accelerate their digital transformation efforts by conceiving and implementing a social listening and content creation engine. I've led efforts with United Airlines to manage reputational issues and partnered with brands in the food/CPG sectors such as Barilla, Kellogg’s, Con Agra, and Bel Brands, integrating PR and social marketing efforts along the way.
In addition, I have also worked with lifestyle brands from Adidas to LEGO, modernizing their marketing efforts to remain relevant to an ever-evolving consumer base.
Most recently, I acted as Interim CMO for the always-on insight solutions platform, Suzy. I helped the growth-stage startup accelerate its marketing efforts by identifying and making key hires, refining and articulating the value proposition, and co-creating B2B lead gen content with strategic partner Microsoft.
I have built an online community of over 100,000 marketing and communications professionals, and I regularly write about business and brand transformation for Forbes. I've also been named as a Social Media “MVP” related to my efforts around advancing brand marketing, communications, and customer engagement across social media, and I am a proud member of "Adobe Insiders", Adobe's enterprise influencer initiative.
As an active practitioner in the fields of marketing, user experience design, brand/business communications, and social media, I bring a unique perspective and speak at events around the world from TED, to Cannes to SXSW and more.
