I met Angelo DelliSanti when he literally knocked on the doors of my school district. His introduction was a refreshing, personal approach that reinforced the importance of relationships and of merging the technical aspects of educating youth with the relational. Over time, it became clear that Angelo consistently planted himself at the intersection of Technical Avenue and Relational Way in educational leadership.

Angelo has become synonymous with my school district’s successes, as he guides us in meeting our challenges. Although he has not been issued a district-issued employee identification card, he might as well have been given how ingrained he has become in the District. He has taken the time to get to know us and has developed deep, broad personal relationships with staff members across job titles to support their success and remain an at-the-elbow partner as we implement the Capturing Kids' Hearts.

Although this work was implemented by District staff, Angelo has supported it in creative, personal, and unassuming ways. To that end, the words “culture” and “climate” are now defined in ways that they never were prior in our school district.

As Luke reminds us, “To whom much is given, much is expected,” a powerful statement about responsibility and accountability. Over time, Angelo has modeled the power of intentional relationships (responsibility) and their long-term influence on organizational success, on personal success and fulfillment for adults and children alike (accountability).
