Deanna Tomaselli is a results-driven public relations professional with a decade of experience in consumer and business-to-business PR, marketing and social media.
Named one of Pittsburgh Magazine’s 40 Under 40 honorees and a Rising Star by PRSA Pittsburgh, Deanna currently leads public relations for rue21. Her responsibilities include press outreach, media inquiries, editorial and influencer relationships, press material development, product launches, and in-store events to support all stores and ecommerce. Additionally, she spearheads integrated marketing campaigns for all external partnerships and corporate philanthropic initiatives, generating maximum exposure for the brand. At rue21, Deanna launched social media and developed standards of excellence for customer service response in the social space.
Prior to rue21, Deanna spent more than five years in advertising agencies working on a variety of clients including Nestle’s Skinny Cow and Fruit Bars, Culver’s Restaurants, All-Clad, Krups, Bryant Heating & Cooling, the Pennsylvania Lottery, Rite Aid and more.
Deanna has a bachelor’s degree from Slippery Rock University and has a knack for networking, both on- and offline. She currently leads communications for PRSA Pittsburgh and speaks frequently to organizations about her knowledge of PR and social media.
In her spare time, Deanna enjoys cooking, reading, fitness, and spending time with family and friends.
