I am a serial entrepeneur. I graduated from the MIT Media Lab in 1995 and co-founded Firefly with 5 now life-long friends. Firefly was sold to Microsoft, where I went on to design Microsoft Passport. In 1999, I co-founded PeoplePC which started out with big dreams of democratizing access to technology. In the end we built an incredibly efficient ISP, and sold the company to Earthlink. I then started a small technology shop called Arts Alliance Labs which spun off the next startup - Povo.com - a hyperlocal wiki. Most recently I co-founded Fig Card, a mobile payments company that aims to finally deliver on the long promised possibilities of intelligent payment devices. We were purchased by eBay/PayPal in April of 2011, where I built and launched PayPal Here.

In 2016, I moved on to GasBuddy.com, one of the first crowdsourced platforms on the internet. We have reinvented our technology stack and launched a nationwide payments program with which you can save $.05 per gallon at almost all stations.

I am a father of 3 and a long time house music dj. Every summer you can find me at the country's only adult residential soccer camp - http://soccer-academy.com
